DELIVERY We have a wide range of delivery options, timescales, and charges that will vary dependent on the type of product or service ordered.
DELIVERY TERMS Abode will deliver your order, except in cases of force majeure or fortuitous events, no later than 5 days from the date of the contract or within another term as may be agreed with you, unless Abode communicates its non-acceptance of the Order.
For furniture orders or items that are made to order, a 5 day delivery period commences once the item becomes available in stock at Abode.
You have the right to immediately terminate the contract and to seek compensation for damages if the ordered product is not delivered within 14 days or any additional period indicated. This 14 day period commences once items become available in stock in relation to furniture and made to order products.
Orders are processed for delivery on working days only (Monday through Friday, excluding Bank Holidays). All delivery dates are approximate only. Whilst we will always try to ensure we meet delivery dates, we do not accept responsibility or liability if any delivery dates are not met.
In order to dispatch your order in a timely manner, Abode reserves the right to divide an Order into multiple shipments in line with product availability. In this case we will notify you by email and confirm that there will be no additional shipping costs as a result.
As soon as your order is dispatched, you will receive an email at the address provided during the order process. Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org with any support needed.
DELIVERY ADDRESS Products will be shipped to the address provided during the Order process and will require the signature of the receiver upon delivery. Unfortunately we are unable to deliver to PO BOX addresses.
All orders require a signature upon delivery. If you are not there to sign for your order, our delivery company will leave information for you to make alternative arrangements or leave your parcel with a neighbouring property. We will take all reasonable care to deliver to the address given. However we will not be liable for non-delivery or missed delivery as a result of incorrect data entry or not being present at the time of delivery.
LIABILITIES You assume the risk of loss or damage to ordered products; that is not attributable to Abode, only from the moment you take physical possession of the products.
In the event of a successful claim for non-delivery, loss or damage, Abode reserves the option to replace the items at its own expense but shall not be held liable for any further liability regarding the matter.
Where we replace goods, the replaced goods shall become the property of Abode. The risk of damage to the goods passes to you, the customer, at the time of delivery.
In the event, that any loss or damage to the product is attributable to us, we will, in accordance with applicable legislation, replace the product free of charge at your request, which must be sent via email to email@example.com
INTERNATIONAL DELIVERY Deliveries outside the UK are subject to customs, legal, regulatory and certain practical restrictions. To comply with local legislation, you or the recipient may be required to pay additional taxes, fees or levies. Import duty or formal customs entry may apply to all products purchased from us. Please ensure that you enter the correct international delivery address and postcode. If the address is entered incorrectly or if customs duties or formal customs entry are required, the delivery may be delayed. We are unable to offer you any assistance if either issue arises.
International deliveries are subject to surcharges. Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org to request further information on international delivery charges. Please select international delivery at the checkout when you make your purchase. A separate payment will be required following your purchase to cover the international delivery surcharge. This request for further payment will be sent to you separately via email and payment is required within 2 days and full payment must be received before your order can be processed.
OUR COURIERS Abode reserves the right to amend our courier providers, carriage charges and delivery options without prior notice, and any carriage charges will be displayed separately on your order.
Abode uses a selection of courier companies to ensure we continually offer you the best service.
Our preferred couriers are Yodel, Collect+, Royal Mail, Hermes & iParcel. However, this list not exhaustive.
Our delivery charges are based upon the total weight of your order. The weight of each product you have ordered is added together to create one total parcel weight. This weight is then aligned to the relevant delivery charge.
All of our delivery charges allow for delivery to the UK Mainland, Scottish Islands & Highlands and Northern Ireland addresses. Please see below for delivery charges on larger items and furniture orders.
Our delivery charges are as follows:
Up to 2kg = delivery charge of £3.95
2.1kg - 15kg = delivery charge of £5.95
15.1kg-19.99kg = delivery charge of £15.95
20kg+ = £19.95
From the moment your order is dispatched, it will take up to 5 working days for you to receive your goods. All of our courier services are tracked and require a signature upon receipt.
FURNITURE/LARGE ITEM DELIVERY CHARGES We charge the following rates of delivery for furniture. However if you spend more than £750.00 with us, then this charge is removed and delivery is completely free.
* Furniture requiring one man delivery upto 27kg = delivery charge of £65.00 (this includes full assembly in room of choice and removal of all packaging)
* Furniture requiring two man delivery over 27kg = delivery charge of £86.50 (this includes full assembly in room of choice and removal of all packaging)
An offer of delivery will be made within 2 working days of you placing your order. The initial offer of delivery will be for a specific day, dependent on the delivery address. If the delivery date is unsuitable, then we can agree an alternative day.
Standard delivery is only available to the UK mainland. As a result, a surcharge of £100 is required for all deliveries to the Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Scilly Isles, Scottish Highlands and Islands, Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.
All products are usually delivered to the room of your choice and will be assembled by us, unless otherwise stated. You are required to ensure that the product will fit your property and can be easily transported. We include product weights and dimensions on our website and if you are unsure about anything, please call us before placing your order.
Upon delivery, the logistics crew will ask you to inspect the packaging for any sign of damage. Please take time to ensure that everything is in order. Once the product has been assembled (if applicable), please inspect the item for any sign of damage.
SPLIT DELIVERIES Where multiple items are purchased within the same order, we will wait for all items to be in stock before we dispatch your complete order. If however, you would like the available items sooner, then we can arrange a split delivery. Where a split delivery is requested, a separate standard delivery charge will be required. In the case of furniture deliveries, a standard one man £65.00/two man £86.50 charge will also be required for the additional delivery. All other delivery charges apply. POSSIBLE CHARGES If you cannot accommodate delivery of your furniture within 21 working days of the notified date of delivery, we will store the goods. However, this will incur a storage charge of £10 per day per item, payable directly to us.
If no one is available to accept the delivery on the agreed day, a £50 charge will be payable to us in order that a redelivery may be attempted. We will contact you to arrange an alternative date. If the alternative date is not within 21 working days we will store the goods. However, this will incur a storage charge of £10 per day per item, payable directly to us. A £100 charge is payable to us if the delivery is outside of the UK Mainland.
If you are unable to accommodate the delivery, you must inform us at least 48 hours in advance of the delivery date to arrange another date at no extra charge. If the alternative date is not within 21 working days of the original date of delivery, we will store the goods. However, this will incur a storage charge of £10 per day per item, payable directly to us.
